FC Rubin signs contract with UMBRO

(Kazan, October 22, Tatar-inform, Artur Yenikeyev). Russian football champion team Rubin has signed a contract on technical sponsorship with UMBRO brand for the period of 2010-2012.

Director General of FC Rubin Eugeny Golov, Director General of ABM SPORT company Sergei Vorobyov, the team’s captain Sergei Semak have participated in a solemn ceremony, which took place at Tatar-inform agency.

Eugeny Golov indicated: “We are Russian champions; we represent our country in European cups. So, we need better conditions for our infrastructure. We have three professional teams and a sport schoolm where over 1000 children are trained. It is a chance for us to provide so many people with a good-quality outfit of a single colour range,” E. Golov said. “That’s why we have chosen UMBRO company. I hope our cooperation will be long-term, and footballers wearing this brand both in Russia and Europe will be satisfied.”

Sergei Vorobyov began his speech from congratulating all people involved in the historical victory of Rubin over Barcelona in Champions League. He presented Eugeny Golov with a unique T-shirt of golden colour with the following words written on it: “October 20, 2009. Barcelona – Rubin 1:2”. He expressed hope that Kazan team’s footballers will achieve many more victories wearing UMBRO outfit.

According to Sergei Vorovyov, the new outfit will be developed for FC Rubin in the club colours – ruby and green. Advanced technologies and the most modern materials, such as laser anatomical fit and a cloth with polyester fibres, will be used in making a new outfit. The outfit will be recognizable and unique.

FC Rubin Kazan captain Sergei Semak promised to do everything for the team’s keeping to the achieved level as long as possible. He expressed hope that new outfit from UMBRO would be comfortable and bring Rubin luck.
