Tatneft saves on drilling pipes

(Almetievsk, February 5, Tatar-inform). JSC Tatneft, owing to applying the build up welding drilling pipes repair technology, has for the past 2 years not bought new pipes. The economic effect from one drilling pipe is 5,500 roubles.

The repaired drilling pipes were tested at companies like Surgutneftegaz, TNK BP and Gazprom, receiving favourable reviews. Tatneft intends to increase this type of service to other companies in Russia.

The resource saving technology has been implemented at the production facilities of JSC Tatneft Central Support Base for Drilling Equipment and Special Vehicles Repair. The company was set up in 2001 within a merger of Gazspetsmashremont and Tatneft Drilling Equipment Repairs. The enterprise’s main purpose is to satisfy the needs of Tatneft in repairing drilling hardware and special vehicles.
