(Kazan, February 7, Bashinform exclusive for Tatar-inform). On February 9, representatives from public associations uniting national motor carriers, heads of regional auto transport firms and transport ministry and department executives from the Volga Federal District will arrive in Ufa. The decision to hold an event as large in Bashkortostan was made by the Russian Motor Transport Union chief Mikhail Kozlov.
The transport forum is to gather industry representatives from Tatarstan, Udmurtia, Chuvashia, Mary El, the Sverdlovsk, Cheliabinsk, Samara, Saratov, Ulianovsk, perm and Orenburg regions.
The union’s regional meeting is expected to discuss many pressing issues, including interaction between public associations and motor carriers in the country and establishment of self-regulatory associations based on non-profit partnership.
The main reason for the heads of larger Russian auto associations meeting in Ufa is the progressive novelties implemented by the Bashkortostan largest motor carrier Bashavtotrans.
“I have never been to Ufa but heard a lot about the Bashkir state-run company,” said the Russian auto union chief Mikhail Kozlov. “And I do know that Bashavtotrans uses all the advanced technologies. To see it for myself and to show the innovations to the colleagues was very interesting.”
Bashavtotrans is one of the few companies in Russia to have successfully implemented innovative technologies - the Glonass/Gps auto fleet monitoring system and the cashless fare payment with touch free plastic cards system. The state-run carrier’s transport operations are absolutely transparent and manageable. Both offers a host of advantages for developing the company and enhance the quality of service. Bashkortostan made one more step forward, combining total satellite surveillance over the auto fleet and accounting.
“It is not a secret to anyone that people from across entire Russia come to learn the Bashavtotrans advanced technologies,” noted the Russian Transport Union Bashkir branch head Vladimir Nozdryanin. “We reject no one, we believe that the more confident the national auto industry is, the more comfortable people feel. Everyone knows that as soon as public transportation disappears, life in any settlement comes to a standstill. The task to save the strategic industry is on the agenda in each region of Russia. It is no wonder, many motor carriers and heads of transport ministries look for a possibility to reduce industry costs and improve service.”
